Join Romer House Waikīkī and Two Scoops in The Backyard for a talk story with local filmmakers, editors, producers, and creative professionals discussing inspiration, approach and craft. In Hawai‘i, film and storytelling comes with a unique responsibility and opportunity to share stories with intention, culture, and place in mind. This isn't a technical workshop - it's a deeper conversation about perspective, process, and the meaning behind the work. Come connect, learn, and talk story with Hawai‘i's visual storytellers who are reframing the way we experience the world.
In this session, Matt Mallams & Ramona Sidlo will share their experience around burnout and the rituals they use to get unstuck. The session will be designed as a group working session and a reset moment. The goal is to learn a different way to cope with the ups and downs of being creative in a strange time. Bring a pen, a journal, and a friend.
